Just for fun, I wrote a song about feeding our 2 cats & 1 dog, a.k.a. the beasts. Hey, nowhere in the Bossa Nova rulebook does it say that I can't write lyrics about feeding animals!

starving critters
pacing the floor
they've had their breakfast
but now they want more

they're all in my way
as i fill up the bowls
reminding me of their needs
and their nutritional goals

it's time once again to feed the hungry
BEEEASTS! BEEEASTS!
and satisfy all the whims of the hungry
BEEEASTS! BEEEASTS!
cause the beasts must have their feast
or the backlash will be increased
the beasts must have their feast
or the kraken will be released

they think i'm taking pleasure
in denying them their food
but i'm just doing my human's job
their vengeance is misconstrued

they glare at me
in this chaotic state
anticipating kibble
with the look of subtle hate
